If you intend to install Intel® Parallel Studio XE 2016 on a system that is not connected to the Internet you will need to obtain a license file for the offline installation. Starting with the Intel Parallel Studio XE 2016 only a serial number will provided in the registration email. To generate a license file you need to do the following:
- Obtain the Host ID of your system. You will need to provide it when activating your Serial Number.
How to find the host ID for a Named-user license.
- Open the registration email for your product. In the last paragraph, starting with “IMPORTANT:” you will find a direct link to the product in the Intel® Registration Center.
Or, log in to the Intel® Registration Center by entering your login ID and password. You will see a list of your products. Select the desired product from the list. You will be taken to the Subscription History page. Click Mange to view the license(s) associated with the serial number.
- Under Activate Serial Number enter your Host ID. Note: You don’t have to enter all the Host ID values for your system. Entering the Host ID of the Ethernet Adapter is a good choice.
- Click the Activate Serial Number button. A license file will be generated for your system.
- Once the license file is generated you will be able to download it or send it to your email.
Note: Each license file is unique and is locked to a specific system. As such, the license file from one system will not work on another system
- If you need to install on more than one offline system, you will need to repeat the process for each system, up to the allowed number of system as specified in the EULA.
