Graphics Performance Analyzers are tools for graphics analysis and optimization that can help you make games and other graphics-intensive applications run even faster. In general, direct installation of Graphics Performance Analyzers on 32-bit Windows* systems is not supported. However, if you need to analyze an application on a 32-bit Windows* target system, you can use the following workaround:
- Run the Intel INDE installer on your 64-bit host system, and install the Graphics Performance Analyzers.
- Copy the .msi installer distributed with the 64-bit Intel INDE installation from your 64-bit host system to the 32-bit target system. You can find it in your Downloads directory with the following filename: gpa_<version>_release_<build>_x86.msi. For example, gpa_14.4_release_123456_x86.msi.
- Run this installer on the 32-bit target system to install the System Analyzer and the Graphics Monitor.
- On the 32-bit target system, start the Graphics Monitor, and note the IP address of this system.
- On the 64-bit host system, start the Graphics Monitor and System Analyzer (not System Analyzer HUD).
- In the System Analyzer Connection window, enter the IP address of your 32-bit target system instead of <this machine> and click the Connect button.
- On the 32-bit target system, use the Graphics Monitor to start the target app from the "Analyze Application" menu item. You can also use the "auto-detect" mode on the target system, then start your app from within Windows*.
- On the 64-bit host system, look for and select the app, which will now appear in the System Analyzer window. You can now view metrics and perform various "on-the-fly" experiments from within the System Analyzer, as well as capture frames and traces for remote analysis with Graphics Frame Analyzer for DirectX* and Platform Analyzer, respectively. For details, refer to the Graphics Performance Analyzers online help for Windows*, and search for the Network Usage Mode section.
