5. Fixed Issues
The following issues have been fixed:
5.1. General Fixed Issues
- The filter driver is WHQL certified but you still see the warning during the installation process. This will be fixed by Intel TA 1.1 release. [#264]
- In the Intel TA SDK, if you include a CSS file with a modal class, you will need to comment out line 271 of intel-technologyaccess.js so that there is only one modal class name. [#274]
- Intel TA SDK's embedded modal doesn't render correctly. Specifying the iframe attributes the same as the modal container resolves the UI issues. [#277]
- Intel TA SDK is supported on Google Chrome*. Other browsers are not officially supported at this time. [#302, #312]
- Long polling will not be functional with Intel TA SDK. [#273]
- Occasional HTTP errors (such as 403, 500 and 504) are seen when using Intel TA SDK through the cloud channel. [#285]
5.2 ME Channel Fixed Issues
- When resuming from connected-standby (Microsoft* InstantGo), sometimes Intel TA is non-functional when using ME channel although the Intel® Management Engine RNDIS Ethernet Adapter is present. [#239]
6. Known Issues
- Support for updating Intel TA via Intel® Update Manager is not available until 1.2 (Production Version).
- Installing Intel TA v1.1.0.1008 over an older version results in installation errors. [#357] Workaround:
- Uninstall any version of Intel TA previously installed versions of Intel TA.
- Verify that the Intel TA filter driver is uninstalled: Right-click the active network Connections in Control Panel, open Properties, select ‘Intel® Technology Access Filter Driver’ and click ‘Uninstall’.
- Delete the Intel TA certificate manually if necessary before installing Intel TA v1.1. Refer to Appendix B of the install guide included in this kit for detailed steps on manually deleting the certificate.
- Using Intel TA under VPN split tunneling will not work for Google Chrome* browser. [#232]
- The filter driver only works behind Cisco VPN, PureVPN. VPNs that support OpenVPN protocol are not currently supported. [#233]
- CORS issues are encountered when trying to access Intel® Technology Access 2 in 1 capability using Firefox*. Workaround: Restart the Intel TA service in order for Firefox certificate store to be updated with Intel TA certificate. [#315]
- An active network connection is required for Intel TA with filter driver to function.
- Intermitent HTTP failures (500 and 403) observed when attempting to GET 2 in 1 sensor value or long polling capabilities. These HTTP errors are observed only when using a network connection behind proxy or firewall, and the Intel TA filter driver is not present. [#355 & #356]
- Sporadic network connection loss observed during the installation process of Intel TA. [#CACE-410]
6.2 ME Channel Known Issues
- The Intel TA with ME channel will be non-functional when there is an active internet connection behind proxy like an Enterprise network. It works fine with networks that are not behind proxy. [#262]
- If you do not want to use Intel TA filter driver, follow the instructions in section 6 ( Appendix A) of the install guide (Intel_Technology_Access_Software_Install_Guide.pdf) to install ME channel only. Attempting to disable the Intel TA filter driver using the network connections (either Wi-Fi or LAN) properties will result in a blue screen. [#359]
