Will You “Discover Your Parallel Universe”?
Join Intel at ISC’14

Join Intel in Booth #540 to “Discover Your Parallel Universe” at International Supercomputing 2014. We’re using this theme to emphasize the importance of modernizing codes and algorithms to take full advantage of modern processors with multiple cores such as those found in Intel® Xeon® processors and Intel® Xeon Phi™ coprocessors.

We are also using our theme as an inspiration for the researchers, scientists, and engineers that are changing the world every day. We are asking everyone to envision the universe we’ll live in if the supercomputing community goes parallel. We’ll have engaging demos, informative presentations, and collaboration opportunities to engage with the broader HPC community. We look forward to seeing you there! Read more.

A New Approach to Compute Intensive Engineering
Intel® Cluster Ready and Altair recently partnered to produce a webinar covering the specific ways computing can deliver value to engineering organizations, and described Altair's turnkey appliance solution that makes it easier and more affordable for engineering organizations to adopt HPC systems. Altair will also presented a case study from one of its CAE appliance users. Watch the joint webinar with Intel Cluster Ready and Altair here!

The Use of High Performance Computing in Multiphysics Modeling
Intel and COMSOL co-hosted a webinar bringing together expertise from both the hardware and software side of HPC. You will be introduced to the concept of multiphysics applications and how they can be effectively simulated in each step of the approach. Then you will see a presentation of the most appropriate hardware configuration for modeling such applications. This will introduce you to the concepts of shared-memory and distributed computing and when to apply both of these simultaneously – hybrid modeling. The most appropriate algorithms for HPC will be discussed, and benchmarking results will be presented as well as the cluster technologies that help make it all happen. Watch the COMSOL and Intel webinar here.
