Intel® Technology Access Software 1.0.0.1011 release

1. Introduction

This guide describes how to install and configure Intel® Technology Access software on Microsoft Windows* 8.1.

2. System Requirements

The Intel Technology Access software has the following requirements:

  • Any Intel® Atom™ processor or 4th gen Intel® Core™ processor- based 2-in-1 system
  • OS:
    • Microsoft Windows* 7 (x86, x64)
    • Microsoft Windows* 8 (x86, x64)
    • Microsoft Windows* 8.1 (x86, x64)
  • Uninstall any previously installed versions of the TA software before installing v.1.0 of the Intel Technology Access software.

3. Release Kit Contents

The Intel Technology Access software kit can be downloaded at https://software.intel.com/en-us/intel-technology-access-beta and consists of the following files/directories:

- Intel_Technology_Access_Software_Install_Guide_1.0.0.1011.pdf (this document)
- Intel_Technology_Access_REST_API_Doc_1.0.pdf

4. Installing Intel Technology Access Software

  1. Download the Intel Technology Access kit from https://software.intel.com/en-us/intel-technology-access-beta.
  2. Run Intel_Technology_Access_Software_1.0.0.1011 /filter from the Windows command prompt. (To access the Windows command prompt, press the Windows and the X key simultaneously and select Command Prompt.)


     
  3. The Intel® Technology Access Welcome screen will be displayed.  Click Next.


     
  4. If you agree with the terms, accept the license conditions. On the next screen select the destination folder or choose the default as shown below and click Next.


     
  5. If you see the following Windows Security dialog box, click Install. This will allow the filter driver to be installed on your system.



     
  6. Navigate to Control Panel -> Network and Internet -> Network Connections. Choose and right-click on one of the network connections (either Wi-Fi or LAN) and select Properties. In the Properties window, you should see Intel Technology Access Driver as shown below.

     

5. Verifying installed Intel Technology Access Software Components

To verify that Intel Technology Access is installed on your system, access Windows Services by navigating to Control Panel -> System and Security -> Administrative Tools -> Services. A service labeled Intel® Technology Access Service should be running, as illustrated below:
