The interactive educational app offers an engaging way to learn conversational foreign language skills.
Babbel, the interactive language teaching app, is now available for immediate download to Intel® Atom™ tablets for Android*. The interactive and highly addictive application allows users from all over the world to engage with 13 languages ranging from English to Indonesian.
Featured in the New York Times, the Babbel language app allows tablet users of every skill level – from beginner to advanced – to improve their language skills. Each language app is fully optimized for Android* tablets and offers a large variety of lessons organized into levels and conversational categories.
Babbel apps were created by Berlin-based Lesson Nine GmbH, an Intel® Software Partner. With Intel support, Lesson Nine GmbH optimized the language app for the capabilities of Android* tablets with Intel® Atom™ processors. During the development and optimization processes, the Intel® Developer Zone offered support to the app’s creators.
“There are many people out there who want to learn a new language, but often they can’t commit to attending classes and want to learn more spontaneously. Our app provides more flexibility in learning a language. With a mobile device you can learn any time, anywhere, “ says Arne Gerdes Director Product at Babbel.“ The touch capabilities and clear built-in speakers of the Android tablets suit particularly well to our language learning app which also includes many writing and pronunciation exercises.”
Lesson Nine GmbH is a software developer based out of Berlin, Germany. For more information visit its homepage at: www.babbel.com
