Trusted Analytics Platform (TAP) helps cardiologists analyze Big Data in a next-generation clinical study that merges 24x7 lifestyle data with wearable devices, home monitoring devices, and clinical records.
The You 24x7 Cardiovascular Wellness Study has pioneered a Big Data approach to clinical research: using wearable devices to record minute-by-minute biometric and activity data from 359 participants for six months. A team of cardiologists and sleep experts at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) gathered a wide range of data from wearables, home monitoring devices, patient surveys, electronic health records (EHRs), and laboratory results to gain a fuller picture of participant wellness than is possible in traditional clinical studies. To perform advanced analytics on the 500 million data points collected, they collaborated with Intel using open source TAP.
